The phrase "it is what it is" is one of those things people say when someone doesn't want to question something that should be.<br /><br />It isn't what it is. It's what someone made it to be and we just accept that because we don't have the courage to question it. I strongly dislike that and it's a cheat to accept it.<br /><br />I'm not afraid to ask questions. Others are afraid we'll ask them.
